The Orange beauty edit
A few of my favorite orange beauty products
I LUUURVE orange.
To me it is such a mood- and energy-boosting color… It makes me think of a summer sunset on the beach, when the sun is an orange ball of fire and everything looks magically better in its warm light.
ANNUNCIO
Since orange-toned makeup is my favorite to wear at this time of the year, today I thought I’d tell you about some of my favorite products in this fun, energetic hue, including a couple of non-makeup extras.
Let’s dive right in!
Tom Ford Lip color Matte in flame ($52)
Wearing the Tom Ford Lip color Matte in flame on my lips, the MADINA Prisma blush in 03 on my cheeks, and the Essie nail polish in fifth Avenue on my nails
I can’t even begin to tell you how much I love this lipstick. I don’t know if it’s because it’s called ‘Flame’ (apparently, I have a thing for makeup products whose names evoke fire or places in North Africa… – don’t ask), or because I got it last time I visited my favorite city in the world (AKA the City by the Bay), or because of its perfect point of red-orange that I like to wear no matter the season or time of the day… All I know is that I love it with my heart and soul, and if I had to keep only one lipstick out of my entire collection (oh gawd, the thought of giving up all my lipsticks but one is beyond horrifying… Why did I even go there?!), it would most likely be Questo.

The Tom Ford Lip color Matte in flame is the lipstick I chose to ring in my third decade on this planet, and it remained pretty much intact through an Italian-style BBQ, two desserts and numerous toasts.
Despite having a bomb staying power, it’s very comfortable on the lips and doesn’t dry them out…
Did I mention that I love it?
Maybelline color Sensational The Creamy Mattes in Craving Coral ($7.99)
Wearing the Maybelline color Sensational The Creamy Mattes in Craving Coral on my lips, and the MADINA Prisma blush in 03 on my cheeks
If the thought of giving Mr. Ford 52 pretty dollars makes you cringe, there obviously are plenty of budget-friendly, but still top quality, options.
One that pretty much everyone should have easy access to is the Maybelline color Sensational The Creamy Mattes in Craving Coral. I love how this one has almost like a gel texture that glides beautifully on the lips.
It’s a texture that is quite thin, so the staying power is not the best you’ll ever come across, but it wears off evenly and is very easy to reapply straight from the bullet. On the bright side, it’s so comfortable on the lips that you’ll forget you’re even wearing it.
Lancôme Lip lover in 336 Orange Manège ($24)
Despite the name, the Lancôme Lip lover 336 in Orange Manège leans very coral
If you like a juicy pout, the Lancôme Lip lover formula is one you shouldn’t miss. It’s pretty pigmented, moisturizing, and non-sticky, yet it lasts nicely on the lips.
Also, if you don’t like yellow-based oranges, I think Orange Manège will be a terrific option for you, since it has a lot of pink to it.
Diego Dalla Palma Lip Pencil in 87 Orange (£13.82)
The Diego Dalla Palma Lip Pencil in 87 Orange (which you can see in action in my brand spotlight) is the perfect compromise between comfort and longevity. I like that it is hard enough to outline the lips with precision, but not so stiff that it hurts when I fill them in.
Madina Prisma Blush in 03
I know most of you don’t have access to MADINA, but the Prisma blush in 03 is so good that I just had to feature it once again (did you catch my previous post on the outstanding brand that is MADINA Milano?).
It’s such a pigmented and vibrant shade of orange-coral that less is definitely more on my light complexion, but if applied right it gives me the most gorgeous luminous flush and makes me look all fresh and healthy.
Essie nail polish in fifth Avenue ($8.59)
I don’t have any orange orange nail lacquers, but the red-orange fifth Avenue from Essie happens to be my absolute favorite to wear in the warmer months.
I’ve already mentioned it among my spring beauty essentials, but I realized that I didn’t show you how it looks on the nails, so here it is…
OSKIA Renaissance Brightlight Intesive Pigmentation & Dark spot Serum (£85)
If you’re looking for a product to fade any sun spots or post-blemish marks, I highly recommend trying the OSKIA Renaissance Brightlight serum, as I’ve been using it for a little over a month and have already noticed good results. It contains ingredients like vitamin C, niacinamide, arbutin, and fruit enzymes to specifically target pigmentation and dull skin. Plus, it’s orange!
Real techniques miracle complexion Sponge ($6.99)
This orange beauty edit wouldn’t be complete if I didn’t mention the real techniques miracle complexion Sponge!
ANNUNCIO
Before you ask, I’ve never used the original beautyblender ($20), so I don’t know how this one compares to it.
